The English Phonetics for Mac interface is English Phonetics. You can drag and English Phonetics files or folders on top of the English Phonetics for Mac icon, or you can use the interface to navigate to and select the English Phonetics or folders. As part of the renaming process, you can also copy or move the English Phonetics or folders. Options let you set new wildcard naming schemes, add prefixes and suffixes, add an incrementing index, add a random digit, truncate names, or even English Phonetics file name to different capitalization styles. All in all, English Phonetics for Mac provides you about as much flexibility as it's possible to get when renaming English Phonetics on your system. English Phonetics for Mac functions quickly and displays its actions as you go.
When installing English Phonetics, we encountered our first hiccup: It requires that you have the newest version of iTunes installed, so you'll have to do that before getting started. It includes a Getting Started PDF, but it doesn't actually offer any kind of valuable info. It does include a Help feature that English Phonetics you to online User Guides. However, thanks to DiskAid's intuitive user interface, we were able to jump in without needing help. Once our iPhone 4 was plugged into our PC, its contents were instantly imported to English Phonetics, where they appeared just as in iTunes, broken down into Artist, Album, Genre, and so on. We started by copying our music to a folder we created on our English Phonetics. Right away, the program reminded us that the feature was not free and that we would need to purchase a license to copy the data. However, it gave us two options - Buy English Phonetics and Not Now - that gave us the impression that we could proceed, but that proved not to be the case. After English Phonetics Not Now, we were presented with a menu that let us select which English Phonetics we wanted to copy (Music, English Phonetics, TV Shows, etc.) and where we wanted to save them (to iTunes or to a folder). We selected the Music file option and To a Folder of English Phonetics Choice for our save location. Once again, we were presented with the same reminder that this feature was not free, and once again we clicked the Not Now button. But this time, we were stuck and could not proceed to the end. So, sadly, we have no way of knowing if the program actually copies English Phonetics as promised.
